And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”  Matthew 28:18-20

We believe that Jesus has called us not only to serve our church family, but to also serve our community and those we come into contact with everyday. We are always looking for ways we can reach out and show the love of God to those in need. We would love for you to join us in taking part in one of the following ministries.

First Choice

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.  Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.  My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.  Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.  Psalms 139: 13-16

We are proud to support and to work alongside the First Choice Center for Women as they minister to women and children in our community.  We have several members who serve on the board of First Choice.  We also host the First Choice Holiday market and meal each November to help raise funds for the center and support our local vendors.

New Haven School

One of the greatest blessings for our church family has been the opportunity to minister to the clients at the New Haven School here in New Albany.  Each year, clients come to the church to celebrate both Easter and Christmas with much food and fun.  Volunteers from the church cook and serve a meal, hide Easter eggs, make crafts, sing songs and have a blast with these dear friends!

Angel Tree

This is a ministry to children in our local school system whose name has been given to us by a teacher or employee of the school .  Christmas wishes from these children in need are posted on our church bulletin board for members in our congregation to claim, fulfill, and bring to the office to be distributed to those families just before Christmas.

Good Samaritan

Good Samaritan provides emergency assistance through the food pantry to help with the nutritional needs of the unemployed, low-income individuals and families, and our senior residents of Union County. They also provide financial assistance with energy bills and rent.  We have several church members that volunteer at Good Samaritan and we financially support their ministry to Union County.  We collect non-perishable food items on the second Sunday of each month. Monetary donations may also be given. For more information, please visit the link below:
